Where do Playback Theatre (PT) and Theatre of the Oppressed (TO)
meet and where do they diverge?
How can practitioners use these methods
to address communities in conflict and a turbulent society?
Join internationally recognized Applied Theatre practitioners / trainers, Hannah Fox and Marc Weinblatt for an engaging presentation and dialogue on the rare combination of Playback Theatre (PT) and Theatre of the Oppressed (TO) for Social Justice.
The call will begin with presentations from Hannah and Marc as they offer a glimpse of their personal backgrounds with PT and TO, share examples of how they combine the two forms, and the power of applying these forms for social justice. There will then be time for Q & A from participants and an invitation to attend their upcoming summer workshop on this topic.
Mandala Center for Change and the Centre for Playback Theatre are proud to offer a 4-day residential workshop in the New York area, “Combining Playback Theatre and Theatre of the Oppressed for Social Justice”, facilitated by Hannah and Marc this August 2017. REGISTER TO ATTEND & LEARN MORE >>
