Mandala Center for Change & Swan Keyes presents:
  "Unmasking Whiteness, Dismantling Oppression"

an Invitation to White Anti-Racism Advocates to Take the Work Deeper

In this 2 1/2 day workshop, which combines approaches from Theatre of the Oppressed and the UNtraining * (Untraining White Liberal Racism), we will address:

•    How do we move out of stuckness, fear, or overwhelm to step up as courageous, strong and loving allies to people of color and other white anti-racism activists?

•    How do other isms intersect and inform our alliance-building efforts?

•    What blocks us from building successful partnerships for social justice with working-class, community-based, people of color-led organizations or mixed-race coalitions?

•    How do we overcome individualism, alienation and burn-out to create supportive community for sustained movement-building?

This workshop is for white-identified people who have some background in anti-oppression training (with a power-based analysis of the “isms”) and have explored in some context what it means to be white in the US. It will be a highly experiential process using real life material from within the group rather than a didactic training for facilitators.
No theatre skills are needed.

This event is wheelchair accessible.
